Remarks: The above states he was left at Prestonsburg, Ky on account of his horse having given out and come in company with a guard of Federal Soldiers from Louisa on or about the 27 Oct. 1864 and after being brought to Covington, Ky. Got drunk and missed the cars; his intention was to come to his Regt. $30 paid for arrest.

The charge of desertion against this man implied by his arrest as a deserter, November 6th, 1864 is removed. He was absent without leave from on or about october 27th, 1864, to November 6th, 1864, when he was arreseted at Cincinnati, Ohio, by Provost Marsha 2d District Ohio, and delivered same day at Kelton Barracks, Cincinnati Ohio, (reward $30.) He was released Nov. 15th, 1864 by General Willick.
