Sir

Please inform me as soon as convenient if you are taking men into the regular army for 5 years if so what bounty the Government is giving. Allso if you take men that are now in service & if you will give me a Lieut. place if I will get 20 men to join the regular army.
I think that at least 20 men if not more will join if the government pays bounty enough. I have been in service since Virginia seceded.

Card 15

Please give me all the particulars if you will take me.
Yours Respectfully

L. H. Clapp
