McElhenny of the county of Russell Va., at Lebanon on the 10th day of May, 1861, to serve one year; he was born in Russell County, in the State of Virginia, is twenty one years of age, six feet ____ inches high, fair complexion, Blue eyes, light hair, and by occcupation when enlisted a [...]sawyer.

I CERTIFY, that I have carefully examined the said Private McDaniel Fraley, of Capt. _____ Company, and find him incapable of performing the duties of a soldier because of Inquinal hernia of the right side. I therefore recommend that the said Private be discharged from the service of the Confederate States.
